We all have those days when we think we’re not beautiful, amazing, worth much, or anything else God created us as. We get it in our heads that that certain someone is way better than us. We believe the lies like, “I’m ugly”, “I can never do anything right”, “I’ll never amount to anything”, and so on. We beat on ourselves until we’re nothing more than a heaping pile of self pity with zero self confidence. We walk around feeling worthless and completely numb from the effects of every lie we believe. We believe those lies until they become our “truth”, and then we don’t even know for sure who we really are. We fall into the trap of depression; we get swallowed into believing that the cuts will release the pain, or the pills will numb our feelings, or the alcohol will make us forget, but in the end, not one of those things will ever help. Not one of those things will give us the joy we’re all striving to find; the joy we hunger for. There’s no end to pain in this world, we all go through it, but there’s a hope and a pain reliever waiting to be accepted by all. There’s a Person who sees us as what we truly are, not something that was fed to us. Through His eyes we are perfect, completely covered by the blood of Jesus Christ. Never doubt your identity in Christ, for you have no other.
